Who we are

This policy explains how HartBeat (“we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through this website, hartbeat.app. Questions about it go to [email protected].

What this website collects

Information you send us. When you use the Contact Sales form we receive what you enter: your name, company, role, email address, phone number (optional), industry, number of sites, approximate instrument count, gateways and tools in use, primary use case, timeline and any notes. If you email us, we receive your message and address.

How you use the site. We use Google Analytics, run through Cloudflare, to understand which pages are visited and how people find them. It collects information such as the pages you view, the site that referred you, your device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. Cloudflare sends this information to Google from its own servers, and a cookie set on this website tells visits apart. We do not use Google Analytics for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and measures page speed without cookies.

Security and delivery. Every request to this website passes through Cloudflare, which processes your IP address and request details to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The Contact Sales form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not an automated script, is sending it. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, time and page requested) for security and troubleshooting.

Cookies. We do not use advertising cookies. Cloudflare sets cookies needed for security and to run our analytics, and people who manage the site get sign-in cookies.

Why we collect it

  • To reply to your enquiry, understand your needs and set up a trial if you want one.
  • To manage our relationship with you if you become a customer.
  • To understand how the website is used, so we can improve it.
  • To keep the website and the people who use it safe from abuse and fraud.
  • To meet legal obligations.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, running and improving the website and keeping it safe; on taking steps you ask for before entering into a contract; and, where it is required, on your consent.

Where your information is stored

Information you send through the Contact Sales form is stored on the server that runs this website and in the systems we use to run HartBeat, so that the same team can follow your enquiry through a trial and, if you become a customer, your account. Access is limited to the people who need it for those purposes.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including for as long as you are a customer, and then delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Google Analytics data is deleted automatically at the end of the retention period set in our Google Analytics account. Server logs are kept for a limited period and then rotated out.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising. We share it only with service providers who help us run the website and our business, under terms that limit how they may use it:

  • Our hosting provider, which runs the server for this website.
  • Cloudflare, for site delivery and security, Turnstile, Web Analytics and running Google Analytics (Cloudflare’s privacy policy).
  • Google, for Google Analytics and for the email service that receives your enquiry (Google’s privacy policy).

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

Some of these providers process information in other countries, including the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Email [email protected] and we will respond within the time the law allows. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not collect Google Analytics information about your visits. Where the law requires consent for analytics cookies, we do not use them without it.

The HartBeat product is separate

This policy covers the hartbeat.app website. The HartBeat service your organization uses after sign-in (core.hartbeat.app) is governed by your organization’s agreement with us, which explains how service data is handled. This website never asks for your product credentials.

Children

This website is meant for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the website or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
