Trial Readiness Checklist
What to have in place before a HartBeat trial. Tick it off, then bring it to your scoping conversation with sales.
Before the trial
- A HART-IP gateway in front of the instruments to be reached
- A small host or appliance at the site for the connector, with outbound internet access
- A named technical administrator for HartBeat
- A site contact who can install the connector
- A security reviewer, if your organization requires one
- The configuration software your technicians plan to use (for example, DeviceCare)
- A short list of the instruments and use cases in scope
What happens next
- Sales conversation and trial scoping. Sites, gateways, instruments, who needs access, and what success looks like.
- Organization created. HartBeat sets up your organization and its first administrator.
- First sign-in. Your administrator receives sign-in instructions, sets a personal password on first sign-in at core.hartbeat.app, and lands on the dashboard.
- Invite the team. The administrator invites people and assigns roles; each receives their own sign-in.
- Connect a site. Your IT/OT team installs the connector beside the HART-IP gateway. It needs outbound internet access only; the destination details come with onboarding.
- Discover instruments. Register the gateway, test it, and run discovery to build the inventory.
- Work and record. Technicians run remote sessions with their usual tools, and every interaction lands in the audit trail.
